British Library, London (UK)
Mon, 20th February 2012 - Mon, 20th February 2012
Acclaimed actor and writer Simon Callow portrays Dickens as a man driven as much by performance and showmanship as by literary endeavour. Dickens was one of the first ‘celebrity’ authors, a dazzling mimic and raconteur who brought his vast array of characters to life in front of thousands of fans at readings both in Britain and across the Atlantic. From 6.30pm. £7.50 / £5 concessions.
