Explorations in Silent Cinema – Dickens on the Silent Screen

As a County Durham contribution to the national celebrations for the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens, silent film expert Dr David Williams will introduce ‘Explorations in Silent Cinema – Dickens on the Silent Screen’ – a six part series at Durham Clayport Library. The season will include rare screenings of some of the adaptations of Dickens’s work filmed in London, the USA and Denmark. Well known pianist George Hetherington will accompany the films.
