Pip Utton is Charles Dickens in County Durham

Barningham Village Hall, near Barnard Castle, County Durham
Thu, 9th February 2012 - Thu, 9th February 2012

Charles Dickens, the great English novelist, the most famous man of his generation, staggers on to the stage, clutches his chest, slips from his sister in law’s arms and falls down dead. Seconds later he leaps up to entertain his audience – his “circle of affectionate friends”. With his death got out of the way right at the start, he feels that he can now approach the rest of the evening with energy and enthusiasm. 7.30pm start.
