Streets of Dickens: Holborn, Hampstead and St Pancras
Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre, London (UK)
Tue, 7th February 2012 - Fri, 21st December 2012
We are celebrating the 200th anniversary of his birth with a free exhibition of photographs, illustrations and archives in our collection. This free exhibition explores the many connections between the novelist and the area which today comprises the London Borough of Camden. Dickens lived much of his life in this part of London, many of his characters live here, many of his scenes are set here and his writing, both fictional and factual, contains a multitude of descriptions of the area as it was in his day. This exhibition runs from 7 February to the 21 December 2012 during our normal opening hours.
