Charles Dickens visited Bologna in 1844 and today the Bologna Children’s Book Fair pays tribute to Dickens with an exhibition for young people entitled “Two Centuries After”. Curated by the cultural co-operative, Giannino Stoppani, it includes a broad array of publications of Dickens’s works from all over the world, not least an enchanting collection of pop-up books. On display too are illustrations by major children’s illustrators and a section on films and comic strips that have taken their cue from Dickens’s novels. Activities include numerous workshops for children and young adults. This exhibition will take place in the frame of "aBOut Dickens festival in Bologna".
