Dickens 2012 is pleased to announce that we are working with a number of partners to deliver an outstanding programme of learning activities and opportunities for 2012 and beyond:

Together with The English Association we will organise and run a teachers’ conference in 2010. Proceedings of this conference will be published in a Teachers’ Handbook. From 2010 onwards, annual prizes for the most imaginative Dickens school project and the student essay on Dickens will be awarded by the The English Association, The Charles Dickens Museum and the Dickens Fellowship.

Dickens Journals Online is a work-in-progress online resource that will make available Dickens’s magazines Household Words and All The Year Round to readers, teachers and students alike. Special provision will be made for schools.

Dickens Film Festival – in partnership with FilmLondon and the BFI Southback, a programme of lectures, school activities and workshops will be provided by the Dickens Fellowship and the English Association.

The Dickens Fellowship - a worldwide association of people who share an interest in the life and works of Charles Dickens. Usually held in July/August, the Fellowship's Annual Conference brings together members from around the world to enjoy a programme of learning and entertainment inspired by Dickens and other writers of his era. A comprehensive programme of events is arranged in London for all members, including visitors from the Fellowship's branches.

The Dickens Project – the The Dickens Project of the University of California is a Scholarly Consortium devoted to promoting the study and enjoyment of the life, times, and work of Charles Dickens. The Dickens Project sponsors scholarly conferences, institutes, and public presentations throughout the year. Chief among these is a week-long gathering known as the Dickens Universe. Held every year at the beginning of August on the beautiful UC Santa Cruz campus, the Dickens Universe brings together scholars, graduate students, high school teachers, and members of the general public for a week of study and Dickensian conviviality.
