The Life of Our Lord – Theatrical premiere

Spring 2012

Charles Dickens’s little-known narrative of the life of Christ, ‘The Life of Our Lord’, written to his family early in his career and unpublished at his request until long after his death, is rediscovered and brought to life in a one-man stage production, written and adapted by Broadway playwright Jeffrey Hatcher (‘Never Gonna Dance’, ‘Scotland Road’, ‘A Picasso’, ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’). Known also for his film writing (The Duchess, Casanova), Hatcher is teamed with Executive Producer Dennis Babcock, whose production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ toured across America. A tour is planned prior to opening in the West End in the spring of 2012. The producers have chosen several charities as recipients of royalties from the show, among them The Dickens Fellowship, the Charles Dickens Museum and the Royal Theatrical Fund.
